Development consultancy for a new residential development in an urban space, with public amenity outdoor space. By combining an exisiting heritage facade with a contemporary new design featuring a green roof the exisiting site is rejuvenated, sits in harmony with the surrounding architecture and provides 53 units for residential use.

THE BRIEF
The site housed a cinema, in 1931 under the name ‘Majestic’. In 2002 the building was taken over by the religious group ‘United Church of the Kingdom of God’ for use as a community centre up until 2006. In 2009 there was a large fire in the building which lead to the auditorium roof collapsing. The majority of the building was subsequently demolished.
