Inspired by the curves of nature to create a striking architectural design, the Poppy offers luxurious accommodation for the discerning guest for year round use.
The Poppy building is designed to cradle the occupants with the elements of external curved wooden fins and architectural glazing to maximise the views into the surrounding landscape. The physical elements we use for the Poppy have a high content of natural or recycled materials to execute responsible design, and we prepare all parts offsite to avoid long build times.
The configuration is living and dining on the Lower level, and sleeping and bathing in the Middle level. A roof top terrace takes full advantage of the views.
Blending into the natural surroundings, but also remarkable in its own right as a beautiful piece of architecture, perfectly balanced within its environment.

Poppy Exterior
Inspired by the curves of nature

Roof Terrace
A spacious decked terrace provides elevated 360° views of the surrounding scenery.

Ground Floor
The Poppy is elevated above the ground, with a raised deck surrounding the ground floor.
Full height glazing and doors create apertures for maximising the relationship to the setting, connecting the inhabitants to the location beyond. At the same time, the distinctive curving exterior struts create a cocooning sensation.
Internally, a stunning architectural glazing creates a light filled space with capacious room for a living and dining area, plus a bespoke kitchen and extra sleeping facilities for guests.
First Floor
A staircase rises up through rear of the space leading to the first floor main bedroom, bathroom and roof terrace.
Option 1 has a landing on this floor with doors leading to both a private contemporary wet room and the master bedroom suite. The stairs continue up to the roof through the rear atrium from this space.
The master bedroom has a feature freestanding bath creating the ultimate luxurious space for guests.
Option 2 the stairs open into a generous mezzanine bedroom space with an ensuite wet room. Glazed balustrading internally creates a view into the rear atrium where a skylight feeds light into the space. Bifold doors open onto a front balcony where external stairs then rise up to the roof terrace.

Roof terrace
A spacious decked terrace provides elevated 360° views of the surrounding scenery. Architectural glass balustrading creates safety and an unobstructed view of the surrounding area. A perfect spot for entertaining, relaxing and star gazing.
Option 1 has a glass skybox opening onto the roof, creating easy access from the internal stairs and flooding the atrium with light. The deck covers the whole footprint of the building, creating a large al fresco area with copious room for seating and dining zones.
Option 2 has a smaller top deck footprint, but still with lots of space for comfortable furniture. The flush rooflight is made from toughened glass that can be walked upon safely.
